Pure sermon series

Our New series coming Feb.

The Pure Foundations Series
Remaining pure in body, mind, eyes, and heart could be the most difficult thing kids will face in their preteens and teens–and into adulthood. Jim Burns, trusted radio host and founder of HomeWord, has developed the Pure Foundations series, designed to guide parents and their kids through the sometimes uncomfortable discussions about their developing bodies and God’s plan for healthy sexuality. Using a stepped approach, the Pure Foundations series starts with a book for parents, Teaching Your Children Healthy Sexuality, followed by the book The Purity Code: God’s Plan for Sex and Your Body to be read by tweens ages 10 to 14 with their parents. The Purity Code Audio Resource is a companion to the book and includes 2 CDs providing fresh content not found in the books with advice and answers from interviews with notable youth experts Dr. John Townsend, Shannon Ethridge, Rebecca St. James, Hayley DiMarco, and others. Accept Nothing Less: God’s Best for Your Body, Mind and Heart is the book for teens 14 and up. Two books for younger children will be available in Fall 2009.

MS small groups

ATTACHED IS MATERIAL START LOOKING AT IT NOW. LET ME KNOW HOW MANY STUDENT BOOKS YOU WILL NEED PRINT BY OCT.19

Dear Jr. High Youth Worker,
One of the things I enjoy about ministry to young teens is that I often get the chance to take some- thing they’ve heard about their entire lives and help them understand how it can actually impact their lives! It seems like small groups are one of the best places for this to happen because of the conversa- tional and relational nature of a smaller setting.

I would venture to guess that the 10 COMMANDMENTS is definitely something your students have heard about and may even be able to recite from memory, but do they really understand what fol- lowing those commandments looks like in the life of a twenty-first century junior higher? Is it really possible that what God expected from his people thousands of years ago is still what he expects from his followers today?

Like just about everything at Simply Junior High, this resource has the ability to be easily tweaked, twisted, and turned inside out in order to make it fit the needs of your students more specifically! This material is simple to use and will save you lots of time, which will allow you to focus on loving your students and training volunteers.
Thanks for allowing Simply Junior High to partner with you from a distance! Living life to the fullest,

Kurt Johnston AUTHOR OF STUDY
